The Loomis Agency's new headquarters is a tangible reflection of its core values of unity, shared success, and integrity. The carefully designed floor plan fosters a collaborative and dynamic environment that encourages employee engagement and a strong sense of belonging. By strategically positioning departments in close proximity, the layout facilitates seamless teamwork and cross-generational interaction. This approach enhances productivity and knowledge sharing. Communal/flow spaces like the breakroom, library, and gallery are centrally located to promote spontaneous employee interaction and connection. Private offices are situated on the perimeter, providing a balance between communal and individual workspaces. By prioritizing these interaction zones at the heart of the design, Loomis underscores its commitment to cultivating workplace culture and meaningful relationships.

LOOMIS is a full-service challenger brand ad agency that's been helping brands succeed for more than 35 years.

The company initially operated as a music production studio, established by composer and marketer Paul Loomis, producing jingles for local advertisers from a small studio off I-35.

The company mission is to help Challenger brands that may not be the top dogs in their categories but are resourceful and have the guts, and desire to take on that top dog. They have a philosophy of "Never underestimate the underdog" and believe that challenger brands can succeed with the right strategy and creativity.

LOOMIS STRUCTURE

Loomis partners with two independent companies: Kendall Creative and Iluminere. Kendall Creative specializes in design, while Iluminere focuses on digital services. Although these companies often collaborate on projects, they also operate independently. Kendall Creative in particular has occasionally served clients outside the Loomis Agency network.

EMPLOYEE STRUCTURE

The Loomis Agency has a hierarchical structure with a CEO, CFO, and COO. The company is divided into two primary departments: Accounts and Media. The Accounts department has two teams: K9 and Mad Dog. The Media department includes a Traditional team and a Digital team.

Kendall Creative has a Design department and a Management department.
Meanwhile, Iluminere operates with a single Creative department reporting directly to the COO. To streamline operations, the three companies share a Marketing and Administrative department.

DESIGN GOALS

Loomis Agency:
An open layout for easy collaboration.
Senior private offices positioned in close proximity to employee workstations.
Executive offices are relatively central to all departments. Designated space for the dogs.
Close to Kendall Creative.

Kendall Creative:
A separate entrance.
Location close to Loomis and Iluminere.
 

Iluminere:
Location without direct sunlight for accurate color production. Adjacent to the studio space.
Close to Kendall Creative and Loomis Media.

​The layout features a seamless flow that connects the three companies and various departments, reinforcing the sense of a unified Loomis family.

TRAIL SPACE

The Trail Space is a dedicated area in the new headquarters designed to foster a sense of community. Loomis' current headquarters features a second-floor atrium where employees gather for a weekly ritual called "Around the Rail." During this ritual, employees discuss their goals for the week while standing around the atrium's railing. Since this tradition cannot be replicated in the new headquarters, "Around the Trail" has been introduced. The Trail Space provides a suitable alternative for this ritual while also serving as a gallery to showcase Loomis' numerous awards.
